Saffron Kinkhab Banarasi Bridal Silk

Kinkhab is the most opulent Banarasi weave — the proportion of zari equals or exceeds that of silk. This saffron kinkhab is woven with both gold and silver zari in a Mughal floral repeat across every inch. The pallu is indistinguishable from pure gold cloth. Fewer than twenty weavers in Varanasi still practise this technique.
